I was contacted on LinkedIn by the Head of Customer Experience at LeMieux who asked if I could support the marketing team in producing product descriptions for their seasonal collections. The team went through a rapid period of growth and needed a helping hand getting a large chunk of descriptions over the line. The deadlines were super tight – but how can I complain when writing product descriptions for outdoor clothing brands is my absolute favourite thing to do?

I was also commissioned to write category descriptions in an FAQ-style format to help improve SEO rankings and site visibility. A lot of the products were exactly the same except for the colour, so I had to be really creative about how I made each description sound unique. No easy feat!

Product descriptions don’t tend to stick around for very long because of how quickly items sell out, but I’ve managed to pull out a few examples below.
