SEO product descriptions written within tight deadlines for Dorset-based outdoors fashion brand Brakeburn.

Brakeburn approached me asking for help producing product descriptions for their spring/summer 2021 collections. After sending me five HUGE cardboard boxes containing all the samples they needed copy for, I got to work touching and studying each garment, making sure the descriptions described how the clothes and accessories felt while pulling out any hidden details that weren’t shown in the product images. It’s a hard life…

Brakeburn wanted the copy to be conversational and relaxed, focusing on the features and benefits of the clothes as well as where you’d be most likely to wear them. The brief was to ‘write copy based on how someone would describe their clothes to a friend’.

Luckily, the collection was a success, so Brakeburn asked me back to write copy for the autumn and winter 2021 collections. Take a look at some examples I’ve pulled out from the collection below.
